SUMMARY:Working with Sex Workers: Health and Wellbeing under Decriminalisation | Shepparton
DESCRIPTION:Following the enactment of the Sex Work Decriminalisation Act of 2022 (VIC)\, these sessions will support all primary healthcare workers in understanding the changes to their responsibilities and equip them with the knowledge and confidence needed to provide best practice healthcare to all patients\, whether sex work status has been disclosed or not. \nAttendees can hear from sex workers with diverse identities and experiences\, ask questions\, access resources\, network with colleagues and enjoy the museum’s exhibition before/after the session. \nThe training is co-designed by Victorian HIV and Hepatitis Integrated Training and Learning (VHHITAL) program and Vixen Collective\, Victoria’s peer-only sex worker organisation and is funded by the Victorian Department of Health. \nClick here to register.

DESCRIPTION:Community palliative care provides support and specialised medical care to manage pain\, symptoms and emotional distress outside of hospital. GPs play a key role as the main point of contact\, delivering consistent care and personalised assistance. \nGeneral practitioners and GP registrars are invited to attend this education and networking event.
