DESCRIPTION:This training is suitable general practice and mental health services staff and other primary healthcare professionals working in the Murray PHN catchment. \nFacilitated by the Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO)\, the training will offer foundational knowledge and awareness on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples\, identities and cultures while exploring the basics of cultural safety and simple ways to put it into practice. \nVACCHO’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander facilitators enhance participant experience and learning by sharing cultural knowledge and lived experience in a safe learning environment where questions are encouraged and welcome. \nClick here to register

DESCRIPTION:This online training course is suitable for nurses and midwives working in sexual health services\, public and private medical clinics\, refugee and migrant services\, correctional facilities\, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health services\, drug and alcohol services\, mental health services and youth services in Victoria. \nHosted by the Victorian HIV and Hepatitis Integrated Training and Learning program\, it provides nurses with the knowledge and confidence to increase screening and management of hepatitis C in primary care settings. \nClick here to register \nThis activity\, including pre-course work\, is equivalent to 7.5 CPD hours. It is endorsed by the Australian College of Nursing\, has been allocated 6.5 CPD hours according to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia –Continuing Professional Development Standard\, and is an Australian College of Midwives CPD Endorsed Activity.
