Initiating treatment early\, ensures pharmacotherapies can be commenced before the disease has progressed too far and gives patients the best chance of better outcomes. \nThis webinar will deep dive into chapter 2 Managing CKD of the 5th edition Chronic Kidney Disease Management in Primary Care handbook and key management strategies that will introduce a PRESCRIBE\, REDUCE or AVOID classification system for medications in people with CKD. A ‘sick day management plan’ to avoid acute kidney injury and further damage to the kidneys\, will be outlined\, including which medications should be temporarily stopped when an individual with CKD is sick or dehydrated. \nLearning outcomes:\n1.
