SUMMARY:Recognising and responding to wellbeing concerns in young people living with Diabetes | Online
DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the Menzies School of Health Research \nSupporting young people experiencing mental health and wellbeing concerns can be challenging. Knowing what to look for\, how to ask the right questions\, and when to take further action can make a meaningful difference. \nThis practical webinar will build participants’ confidence in recognising\, assessing and responding to mental health and wellbeing concerns in young people living with type 2 diabetes. The session will explore how to identify and screen for risk\, communicate effectively with young people\, and use practical assessment tools to support early identification and appropriate responses. A case study will provide an opportunity to explore a real-world scenario and identify practical strategies for responding to mental health and wellbeing concerns. \nThis is the fourth webinar in the “Wellbeing Matters: Supporting Young People Living with Diabetes” series\, where we are exploring topics designed to inform\, inspire\, and spark meaningful discussion. The series is delivered as part of the INSPIRE youth type 2 diabetes (YT2D) study\, led by A/Prof Renae Kirkham at the DIABETES across the LIFECOURSE: Northern Australia Partnership. \nTarget audience: GPs \nClick here for more information and to register

SUMMARY:Building trust into care and health systems | Online
DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the International Foundation for Integrated Care Australia \nUsing the experiences of children with medical complexity and their families\, this webinar will explore how trust develops over time through continuity\, relationships and repeated interactions with services. It will provide practical guidance on developing trust companions: consistent people who help connect care across services and provide continuity throughout a person’s care journey. \nThe webinar will examine how trust can be supported through roles\, team practices\, service design and wider system change. It will also consider what services can do when trust has been damaged and how they can create the conditions for trust to be rebuilt. \nParticipants will explore how to: \n\nAssign clear responsibility for building and maintaining trust\nCreate continuity across teams\, services and transitions\nDesign roles\, processes and models of care that support trusting relationships\nIdentify and change system practices that undermine trust\, including how trust can be repaired when it is lost.\n\nTarget audience: Health professionals \nClick here for more information and to register
