DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Flinders University \nThis is a new training course for GPs in managing insomnia. Focussed Psychological Strategies (FPS) are specific mental healthcare management strategies based on evidence-based psychological therapies. Course content includes measuring and understanding sleep\, assessment and treatment of insomnia using cognitive behavioural therapy\, and case discussions. The Adelaide Institute for Sleep Health (AISH) at Flinders University has recently been recognised by the GP Mental Health Standards Collaboration (GPMHSC) as an accredited training provider for FPS related to insomnia disorder.
