DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Cancer Council Victoria \nThe Cancer Education Programs (CEP) are group-based supportive care and education programs developed for people affected by cancer\, including carers\, families and friends. The programs provide information\, practical strategies and the opportunity for participants to connect with others affected by cancer. \nThis course trains facilitators to deliver the Cancer Council Victoria (CCV) Managing Cancer and Cancer Wellness programs to small groups in their health service. The session includes guest presenters\, interactive discussions and activites. \nPresentation slides\, workbook and a CEP Facilitator Manual will be provided. \nLearning outcomes: \n\nUnderstand the key concepts and benefits of the CEPs\n Recognise adult learning principles and facilitation techniques\nAppreciate the value of effective co-facilitation in delivering CEPs\nBuild confidence in delivering CEPs using available resources\nIdentify CEP resources to support recruitment and community outreach​\n\nTarget audience: Nurses\, Allied Health\, Social Workers \nClick here for more information and to register
