DESCRIPTION:The Matilda Centre for Research in Mental Health and Substance Use at the University of Sydney has been funded by the Australian Government Department of Health\, Disability and Ageing to develop a series of on-demand webinars on evidence-based practice. Our webinars are freely available and focus on building capacity in relation to evidence-based practice approaches to the management and treatment of co-occurring alcohol and other drug (AOD) and mental health conditions. \nThis webinar will be presented by Dr Natalie Mastrogiovanni\, a research psychologist and clinical psychologist in community mental health\, seeing adults with complex mental health needs. Natalie generally works with clients who have complex trauma backgrounds\, personality vulnerabilities\, emotional dysregulation and substance use. \nBy the end of this webinar\, attendees will be able to: \n\nIdentify and describe the key components of the DBT model\nOutline DBT skills and determine when they are best applied\nUnderstand how DBT skills and concepts can be incorporated into AOD clinical practice\n\nTarget audience: AOD workers \nClick here for more information and to register
