First Nations

Sunlight hitting the treetops on beautiful Country.

Murray PHN is committed to working with local Communities to build and strengthen relationships, so that First Nations Peoples benefit from quality healthcare that is respectful, safe and closer to home.

Aboriginal people can access primary healthcare through the usual GP networks, but also through seven Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs), which look at health in a holistic way.

We provide funding and support for a range of services that focus on supporting First Nations Peoples living with chronic disease, with mental health and alcohol and other drug concerns, and on vaccine-preventable diseases, annual health checks and assessments.
