Self-care and mental wellbeing

Resources and support for primary care staff

Self care

Healthcare workers are used to looking out for the health and wellbeing of others but can sometimes overlook their own needs. To maintain good health, reduce stress and the risk of burnout, Murray PHN encourages healthcare workers to prioritise activities that help them to achieve good physical, mental, emotional and social health.

Murray PHN funded e-Counselling

Local primary healthcare staff working in general practice, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations and pharmacies in the Murray PHN catchment, can access free confidential and professional e-counselling through Murray PHN’s Employee Assistance Program, delivered by Connect Psych services.

With choice of a best-fit practitioner, people can book a time to connect via their phone, video or live chat. Click here for contact details/booking form and use access code: MUR512.
