headspace is Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation, that provides young people aged 12 to 25 years old and their families with support at a crucial time in their lives – to help get them back on track and strengthen their ability to manage their lives in the future. Since its inception, more than two million occasions of service (help over the phone, online or face-to-face) have been provided.
headspace centres
Support is available through more than 150 centres across Australia and online. These act as a one-stop-shop for young people who need help with work and study support, physical health, alcohol and other drugs or mental health. They are not just designed for young people, but with them, to ensure they are relevant to their local area, accessible and highly effective. As a result, no two headspace centres are the same, with each offering unique services that reflect the needs of its local community.
All headspace centres in our region are funded by the Australian Government and commissioned by Murray PHN. We work closely with the centres, lead agencies, and their consortium partners in our region, to improve the supports available to young people and their families – thousands of which receive support in our region every year.
