Murray PHN has a role in working with the Victorian Department of Health and the Australian Department of Health and Aged Care to support primary care services in local emergency situations that includes bushfires and pandemics. This role may include helping to coordinate the necessary staff required to field primary care clinics or calling on local professionals to act as a temporary workforce in affected general practices and other primary care providers.
