Comedian and suicide prevention advocate Marc Ryan, known as ‘The Beautiful Bogan,’ is on a mission to transform the conversation surrounding mental illness, through laughter and personal storytelling.

To help normalise conversations about mental health, Murray PHN is funding free community events for people to come and hear from Marc as he shares his experiences of post-traumatic stress disorder and living with thoughts of suicide.

With alarming statistics indicating that seven men and two women take their own lives every day in Australia, Marc’s goal is to encourage others to seek help and to remind them they are not alone in their struggles.
