A reliable roof over your head is one of the basic necessities of life, yet homelessness rates are growing.

Murray PHN is pleased to release its annual Murray Health Report 2025. Using data and feedback from recent health needs assessment consultations, this year’s report looks into the impact of Housing Instability and Health.

Homelessness doesn’t discriminate – it affects men, women, older people, young adults and families. People who are experiencing homelessness or unstable housing situations often find it difficult to break a poor health cycle.

The lack of safe, secure and stable housing, along with complex psychosocial factors, a lack of nutrition and hydration are some of the factors that contribute to poor health in people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

This report aims to provide community members with some of the key insights into the threat of housing insecurity in our region and the associated impacts.
