IPEPA offers a dedicated workshop program for First Nations health workers and practitioners to support development of confidence in caring for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples affected by life-limiting illness. Suitable for health professionals (of all disciplines), Aboriginal Health Workers, Aboriginal Liaison Officers and Community Workers who support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Workshop content
Workshop sessions aim to develop knowing, being and doing outcomes across the following topics:
- The palliative care journey
- Yarning about palliative care, end-of-life care and people’s choices
- Loss, grief and healing
- Looking after yourself
