Join us for a practical and engaging update on PrEP and its role in preventing HIV transmission in Australia. This webinar will cover current HIV epidemiology, PrEP eligibility, daily and on-demand dosing options, prescribing and monitoring requirements, and common clinical scenarios encountered in practice. Through case-based discussion, participants will gain practical strategies to confidently support patients seeking PrEP and deliver evidence-based HIV prevention care.
On completion of this course and its components, participants will be able to:
- Describe HIV epidemiology in Australia and the different HIV prevention strategies
- Explain different options for PrEP dosing
- Provide patient education on the effectiveness and appropriate use of PrEP
- Implement the Decision Making in PrEP tool to manage patients on PrEP
