FreeThis workshop is being delivered by Benchmarque Group, in collaboration with Murray PHN, and will provide clinicians with an evidence-based framework to assess and manage a variety of wounds while understanding the importance of client-centered education and care.
Learning outcomes:
- Assess, manage and apply various wound management techniques to a broad range of clients in the primary healthcare setting
- Demonstrate knowledge of various wound management products and materials and the techniques to apply the appropriate product
- Obtain a compliant wound swab culture using best practice methods
- Apply a broad knowledge of management strategies, client-centred education and provision of basic care and advice about wound management
- Assess the need for and perform wound management in various settings and educate and assist clients in managing their wounds.
