Cancer Education Programs – facilitator training | Online

The Cancer Education Programs (CEP) are group-based supportive care and education programs developed for people affected by cancer, including carers, families and friends. The programs provide information, practical strategies and the opportunity for participants to connect with others affected by cancer.
This course trains facilitators to deliver the Cancer Council Victoria (CCV) Managing Cancer and Cancer Wellness programs to small groups in their health service. The session includes guest presenters, interactive discussions and activites.
Presentation slides, workbook and a CEP Facilitator Manual will be provided.

- Understand the key concepts and benefits of the CEPs
- Recognise adult learning principles and facilitation techniques
- Appreciate the value of effective co-facilitation in delivering CEPs
- Build confidence in delivering CEPs using available resources
- Identify CEP resources to support recruitment and community outreach
