Expectations of Primary Health Networks are evolving, with an increasing emphasis on how we implement national policy and initiatives at a local level.
PHNs are also working within tighter funding settings and higher delivery costs than ever before and so need to evolve to remain financially sustainable to deliver on our commitments.
With these points in mind, Murray PHN is navigating changes for the future direction of the PHN program with less capacity, and accordingly, is in the process of implementing a new organisational structure. These are unavoidable and internal business decisions made to continue our important work with primary care partners during changing and challenging times.
While this is a difficult time internally at Murray PHN, the services we deliver and the way we work with stakeholders will not change. Unless advised otherwise, points of contact, referral pathways and day-to-day relationships remain in place.
We will keep stakeholders informed about the changes, which aim to strengthen Murray PHN for the future, so that we can keep delivering for you and the communities we both serve.
Matt Jones, Murray PHN CEO
